Winter Beer Pairing: Beer-Battered Onion Rings and Pale Ale.

STEP 1: MAKE BATTER

In a bowl, mix Pale Ale beer, flour, cornstarch, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.

STEP 2: HEAT OIL

In a wok or deep pan, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F.

STEP 3: SLICE

Slice the onion into 1/2-inch rings.

STEP 4: CHOP PARSLEY

Roughly chop the parsley.

STEP 5: DIP

Dip the onion rings into the batter and coat them completely.

STEP 6: FRY

Carefully add the coated onion rings to the heated oil (be careful not to splash yourself). Routinely flip them until they turn golden brown.

STEP 7: COOL

Once cooked, remove the onion rings from the oil and place them on a wire rack to cool. Season them with flaked sea salt.

STEP 8: SERVE

Top with chopped parsley and serve with our Hot Honey Ranch and a Pale Ale.
